Fountainhead is constantly expanding its reach into various industries. Our first venture into the construction industry was with a leading construction company in the Philippines with the broadest range of construction and engineering projects and services worldwide. With projects all over the archipelago, they needed a system that would effectively manage its detailed procurement processes and help them track simultaneous projects. Fountainhead integrated the Oracle E-Business Suite and multiple modules into the client's operations. Now they have a complete view of their operations from a single viewpoint—a useful asset for any business in the rapidly-growing industry.
The rise of the Philippine economy in the past half-decade has been attributed to the contribution of industry and services to the country's gross domestic product (GDP). The construction industry ranks second only to manufacturing in being a GDP stimulant and a source of steady growth, notwithstanding its contribution to the national economy through job generation, investment accumulation, and dollar earning. With industrialization plans and projects underway, it comes as no surprise that more and more investors and players are entering the construction industry. A major concern of construction companies is keeping track of simultaneous projects and the lineaments that each undertaking entails. This is a challenge that Fountainhead Technologies, Inc. agreed to take on.
Among the formidable roster of Fountainhead's clients is a recognized leading player in the Philippines with the broadest range of construction and engineering services (including roads, bridges, power plants, refineries, petrochemical plants, cement plants, industrial plants, buildings, schools, hospitals, seaports, airports, railways, water distribution stations, and flood control systems) to date. The project was to be Fountainhead's first venture into the industry, and the outcome was exceptional. Lead consultant Jojo Salvador described the project as particularly challenging not just because of the novelty, but also due to the specificity required in the company's procurement processes. The Fountainhead team installed the Oracle E-Business Suite and integrated the financials and procurement modules into the client's operations. In early 2013, the system went live. It has enabled the company to track and account its simultaneous projects and pay special attention to their big-ticket projects. Now having a complete view of their operations, it is hoped that the time and effort saved will also translate to savings on their clients' part.
Having delivered an innovative solution to yet another satisfied client, Fountainhead is confident that more players in the construction industry would be interested in boosting their efficiency. In an industry growing at its current pace, keeping up with the competition is definitely a challenge. But with Fountainhead, besting the competition is the rule rather than the exception.
